SPONSOR A FAMILY

For more than forty years, Christmas for Kids, a non-profit organization founded in 1982, has ensured that every child in a Moscow household adversely impacted by financial hardship experiences wonder and joy during the holiday season. We do this through our gift-giving program driven entirely by community support, sponsorships, donations, and volunteer involvement. This year, we hope that if you’ve sponsored in the past, you’ll consider doing so again. If you’re new to Christmas for Kids, we’d like to ask you to consider supporting a family in our Moscow community.​

 

Specifically, we are looking to match families applying for assistance with a family sponsor. Sponsors can choose to provide holiday magic for one child, up to an entire family, or more! As a sponsor, once you’ve been matched, the real elf work begins. Sponsors receive a wish list for each child sponsored that includes their first name only, some things they need, some things they want, and clothing sizes and preferences. The goal is to provide each child with six gifts that match three of their ‘wants’ items and three of their ‘needs’ items, providing each child with the magic and joy of the season.​

 

Our family sponsors are the reason Christmas for Kids is successful. Your sponsorship is also a tax-deductible donation. Some business sponsors plan a meaningful holiday event for staff; families sponsoring families go shopping together, all with the understanding of how important this work is to so many Moscow families, truly contributing to community-focused kindness during the holiday season!
