Started in 1982 by Moscow resident Jean Currin, Christmas for Kids is a local non-profit 501(c)3 organization in operation for over forty years because of volunteers. Governed by a volunteer board of directors, CFK was founded to help each child in Moscow experience the magic and joy of opening gifts picked out just for them during the holiday season. Each child in every household experiencing financial hardship is our priority every holiday season. Through business sponsorships, individual sponsors, we ensure that every child in our approved applicant households gets three 'wants' and three 'needs' each season. Through additional donations of socks, books, and underwear, we can provide those items as additional gifts. Our community partners irs include businesses that host a tree each season; these trees have tags on them for pick-up with a child's desired gift on it. The Moscow School District is one of our vital community partners. They help families & households know about our program. We also rely on the amazing group of volunteers and donors who make it possible for us to deliver gifts every year with the help of our Moscow Volunteer Fire Department.

Applications must be completed by an authorized adult in a family or household and eligibility is the following: children must be enrolled in the Moscow School District or primarily full-time residents of Moscow, Idaho, and whose households are experiencing financial hardship.

Paper 2026 applications are located on our website and can be picked up & returned (once completed) at the Hope Center at 1212 W. Pullman Road and the HUB (formerly Russell Elementary School) at 119 N. Adams Street. The HUB is open for limited hours every Tuesday - please inquire further for their open hours to pick up or drop off CFK applications there.
